MEET KATIE

Aunty Katie was born from a deep love of home-cooked Asian food. With over a decade of experience, she’s perfected the kind of dishes that feel like home no matter where you eat them.

OUR STORY

The name "Cattleya" blends the owner's name, Katie, with the name of a beautiful Thai orchid. Together, they form Katie Cattleya, reflecting beauty and care.

After graduating, Katie followed her passion and opened her first Thai restaurant in Warrnambool. She successfully ran it for 12 years. Later, she relocated the restaurant to Ballarat for her child's education, starting her second concept.

Cattleya Heritage ("Crafted with Care, Served with Smile") was designed to feel like visiting a friend's warm, homely, and genuine home, which led to expansion due to high demand.

2023

Eatsy by Cattleya Thai ("Authentic Thai Street Food") is the second branch, focused on quick, convenient Thai street food and quick meals in Ballarat.

2024

Cattleya Signature Edition is the newest milestone, offering a modern, elevated Thai Fusion dining and drinking experience. It was created to push boundaries and appeal to a different customer group.

2025

Aunty Katie: A restaurant featuring Asian Classics (Thai, Japanese, Korean, Chinese) based on Katie's home cooking, highlighted by a homemade bakery and signature Thai Curry Puffs.
